IDA is dedicated to boosting the art and science of dentistry by taking constant initiatives in the advocacy of dental education and research. It aims at promoting oral health awareness and advancing quality dental services in the country. PMS College of Dental Science and research is closely associated with the Indian Dental Association. The Chairman Dr PS Thaha himself a member of the IDA Trivandrum branch encourages all the activities of the association. The staff members of the college as well as the students are members of the IDA . The IDA activities in the college are effectively orchestrated by the combined efforts of the office bearers and members of IDA Trivandrum branch and IDA Attingal branch

An All India Students' Convention has been organized at PMS Dental College premises jointly by IDA and PMS Dental College, during the 2nd week of December 2012, in connection with the Decennial Celebrations of the College.

Grand programs were conducted as part of the functions, to enhance the knowledge and skills of students and faculty, imparting latest techniques and trends in the field of Dentistry. Eminent Dental Experts were participated on the occasion.

Dental Students across the country and Practicing Dentists were participated in the function and commemorated the event.
