Code of Ethics

The Code of Ethics is implemented to establish ethical guidelines and best practices to follow for honesty, integrity, professionalism, objectivity and confidentiality This code was developed with inputs from the Chairman, Academic Directors, Administration and Faculty with the aim of streamlining method of functioning and code of adherence that are to be mandatorily followed by the Teachers.

Academic and Professional ethics

  • To comply to the code of conduct and professional attitude anticipated from them by the society.
  • Pursue their professional growth through study, training, practice and research.
  • Engage in curricular, co-curricular and extension activities of the institution.
  • Appreciate the dignity and integrity of the students, teaching faculty and non-teaching staff.
  • Have an honest and unprejudiced approach towards the students regardless of their religion, caste, political, economic, social, physical needs
  • Be passionate towards the profession and the students
  • Acknowledge the students’ skills and capabilities and motivate them to improve their skills and achievements simultaneously contributing to the community interest.
  • Treat the other staffs of the institution with respect and dignity
  • Cooperate sincerely with the authorities for the betterment of the institution

Professional ethics

  • Appreciate the dignity and integrity of the students, teaching faculty and non-teaching staff.
  • Treat the other staffs of the institution with respect and dignity
  • Aim to refine ourselves by consistent working and perseverance.
  • Have an honest and unprejudiced approach towards the students regardless of their religion, caste, political, economic, social, physical needs
  • Acknowledge the students’ skills and capabilities and motivate them to improve their skills and achievements simultaneously contributing to the community interest.
  • Maintain absolute devotion and integrity to duty at all times.
  • Cooperate sincerely with the authorities for the betterment of the institution
  • Should be compassionate and need to be genuinely concerned about the other staff’s necessity.
  • Preserve absolute confidentiality with respect to student and staff records and other sensitive matters.

Professional ethics

  • Uphold the Code of Ethics and mission and vision of the institution
  • Conduct the professional ventures with absolute honesty, integrity, respect and fairness.
  • Constitute a healthy working environment with professional ethics and impartial behaviour
  • To encourage the teaching faculty and non-teaching faculty for superior outcomes that are exemplary rather than simply satisfactory.
  • Treat the staffs with due respect, decency, modesty and absolute professionalism.
  • Should be compassionate and need to be genuinely concerned about the other staff’s necessity.
  • Work to recognize and seek opportunities to encourage health promotion in the society
  • Conduct self with utmost professionalism and deal with teaching faculty, non-teaching staffs, undergraduate students and postgraduate students and patients with utmost sensitivity it deserves.
  • Be straightforward in all types of expert and authoritative correspondence, and don’t disperse data that is bogus, deluding or misleading.

Academic and Professional ethics

  • To serve faculty, students, patients and staffs in a respectful and civilized manner.
  • To steer clear of unfair practices, the appearance of copyright piracy and or misstate other individual creativity.
  • To nurture the secrecy of internal and university level examinations taken during my enlistment in the undergraduate BDS program, compulsory rotatory internship or the post graduate speciality master’s program.
  • Any student will not replicate, reallocate or allot unsanctioned or unofficial examination material through retention, recalling or sharing of question paper or answer sheet on any platform.
  • To hold upright the patient’s rights including thoughtfulness for patient records, treatment details and maintenance of confidentiality.
  • To diligently look into clinical work/neatly charting out patient appointments, elegantly adhering to the institution dress codes and keeping in hand by the chairside or within an arm distance all necessary equipment, materials/apparatus considered essential for providing the best treatment possible.
  • To duly accede to standardized infection control protocols and welfare instructions of the institution followed by the principal’s office.
  • When in doubt do consult a member of the administration or Chairperson of the infection control committee if the student/faculty performing the treatment procedure are unsure about the ideal treatment norms.
  • To delineate unscrupulous deportment to the subject in charge, comprehensive clinic in charge, associate dean (clinics) or to the principal.
